Enjoy a cosy break for two in this idyllic countryside cabin; with views over open fields and ponies at the bottom of the private garden which has a stream trickling past and a hot tub for you to relax in at your leisure.

To enable us to cater for those with allergies, we’re unable to accept bookings with pets in any of our Glamping accommodation.

The location is just like a fairytale, secluded and safe. Waking up to uninterrupted views from the terrace and ponies grazing just outside the garden was priceless! The Cabin was spotless and the perfect getaway, will definitely be back.

Beaches

The closest beach is Charmouth, then either West Bay or Lyme Regis.

Walking

There are miles and miles of walks direct from site along public footpaths & bridleways.

Trails which are nearby include the Wessex Ridgeway, Monarchs Way, Jubilee Trail, South West Coast Path and Thorncombe Woods.

Many local National Trust properties have some lovely walks too.

Fishing

There are two deep unfenced fishing ponds on site, you will need a Rod Licence and a fishing pass to be able to use them. Rod licences are available from the Post Office and fishing passes can be added as an extra online when booking or bought from reception on site.

Takeaway food is available in the barn on site – Bank holidays and school summer holidays – WEEKEND ONLY

Pubs

Nearest pub is called the Five Bells & is in the local village of Whitchurch.

Public Transport

We are not on any public transport routes.
The nearest bus route is X53 from the A35 at Charmouth or Morcombelake.
The nearest train station is either Axminster or Crewkerne.

Shops

Nearest shops are Felicities Farm Shop at Morcombelake (2 miles).
Charmouth (3 miles) has a small supermarket.
Bridport is the closest large town with Morrisons, Lidl, Co-op & Waitrose (none are 24 hours).

We do not accept supermarket deliveries onto site – please contact us to arrange this.

Petrol Stations

The nearest petrol station can be found at Morrisons in Bridport. An alternative can be located on East Road (A35), just off the roundabout.

Please plan carefully to arrive at our beautiful rural location and allow for narrow lanes for the last few miles; follow signs to the Dorset Hideaway, if arriving travelling from Whitchurch Canonicorum village then drive past the entrance to the site and carry on down the lane approx 200m and you will see two properties on your right (opposite a concrete farmyard with barns ‘Bridge Farm’) the first property says Riverside on the entrance turn immediate right into this driveway you have arrived.

If travelling from opposite direction (Bridport/Bettiscombe/Marshwood) after Lodgehouse Farm carry on along the lane for 300m and on the right are two properties, the second is marked Riverside turn into this driveway you have arrived.
